This past weekend several PWOC members lived out our motto.
Saturday morning Emma joined De'Etta, Chaplain Goecker and Jared to prepare a hearty breakfast for all who were coming to clean and decorate the chapel for Advent. Those men can really flip those flapjacks. ::snort::
It turned out to be GOOD that all the decorating was finished on Saturday. Flexibility would prove to be key on Sunday. Gas fumes and the Fire Marshall drove the 1000 service from the Chapel. We had our Unity Service in the Fellowship Hall.
Cheryl, Debbie and Emma pitched right in, working around worshippers and dealing with all manner of surprises. Thanks, ladies! As I pulled up with chicken and saw all the people sitting at tables in the Fellowship Hall, my heart sank. When I was told you three were in the kitchen, I knew it was all under control.
The picket fences and pumpkins were so cute we decided to leave them for Wednesday night's Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service and Pie Social. Thanks to Joyce and Dave Moore who helped take apart all the cute decorations which served us well this week.
Working together the load is light - and fun! Thanks to all for all you do to help the chapel continue its mission.
