Woot! The word is that 1800 boxes have been collected at the local drop off point. That's NEARING the 2000 boxes that were given last year. We are on track to double our boxes this year.If you have a shoe box that needs to be dropped off, you may leave it at the Crossroad Student Center, the chapel during any service on 23 Nov, the chapel office during duty hours, the Fellowship Hall (bldg 136) Friday night between 5 p.m. - midnight or simply get it to De'Etta before Sunday. You may also take it directly to Christian Church of San Angelo, 4064 S Bryant Blvd/ (800)798-7949, by 24 Nov.
This is a fun project. Some have asked if any certain age gets less boxes - older boys and girls. Some have asked if they can fill a box if they don't have $7 for postage - YES. I know that Samaritan's Purse has sent out requests for people to send in money to cover this scenario. YES, you may pay your postage online rather than sliding a check in your box, click here for directions.
Get involved. You'll bless a child and be blessed yourself in the process.
