2010-2011 Board Installed

A heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to the members of this year's board, especially to those who are stepping down.  This year was full of incredible Bible Study, socials, support, and fellowship!

Women's Retreat

Recently, we held a Women's Retreat overnight at the Hummer House in Christoval.

In addition to fellowship and Bible Study, these ladies were able to take time to relax and enjoy one another's company in a quiet setting surrounded by nature.

Some of the gals have graciously shared these glimpes into the Retreat.

We are sure to do something like this again!  We hope that you will be apart of this incredible experience!

"Come Thirsty" Study To Begin

Last night, as we wrapped up our "Having A Mary Spirit" study, we received our books for our second Spring Bible Study.

Join us every Tuesday evening, beginning March 23rd,  in the Chapel Conference Room at 6:30pm as we work through "Come Thirsty" by Max Lucado.

"Are you a dry sponge? Edgy and rigid? Ineffective? Would you like to be softened up some? Would you like to be more useful in the hands of the One who made you? Then come to the well, says Max Lucado.

Goodfellow PWOC Enjoys A Day Out!

Last Saturday, several women from Goodfellow PWOC enjoyed a Women's Day Out. 

The gals first traveled to Paint Rock, Texas to visit Ingrid's Handwoven Rugs.  There the women were given a tour of the shop and were able to see first-hand how mohair, alpaca, and even buffalo fibers were woven into spools and then woven into various types and sizes of rugs!

From Paint Rock, the Ladies traveled toward Ballinger where they stopped to see the Cross which stands 100 ft. tall and 70 ft. across.  It can be seen from miles around during the day but especially at night when it is lit up.  Also on the grounds, the Ladies were able to enjoy well kept walks that led to a small Chapel, a St. Frances Shrine, and the Our Lady "of Guadalupe".

From there, the Ladies enjoyed a quiet and enjoyable lunch in Ballinger at Villa Palma, a superb Italian Restaurant. 

A special thanks to Emma for planning this incredible outing, and to Bobbie Jo for driving!

Our next PWOC event will be the Women's Retreat later this month.  Be on the look-out for future PWOC events!

Women's Day Out will be Saturday, March 6, 2010
We will be going to Paint Rock to see weaving of rugs.  Afterwards, we plan on going to Ballinger to see the Cross(http://www.fnbballinger.com/sites/cross/cross.html) and to have lunch.
Time: Meet @ Goodfellow at 9:00 AM at the Chapel. We will carpool.
Should return between 2:30-3:00 PM
