Praying for Selection Process

In Protestant Women of the Chapel our Executive Board/leaders are "selected" each year.

Please be in prayer about who the Lord may be calling to lead GAFB PWOC next year. The Executive Board consists of: President, 1st VP Spiritual Life, 2nd VP Programs, Secretary. Positions can be combined. This year I (De'Etta) served as both President and Spiritual Life. To step into leadership on the Executive Board you need to be an "active participant" of PWOC and a chapel attendee.

If you don't see a position that you are pulled to, remember that there are other positions that are appointed each year: Titus 2, Newcomer, Prayer, Hospitality, Web Contact....you do not need to attend the chapel to minister in these positions.

If you are interested in serving next year, please pray first. Talk to your family second. If you receive a green light from both, contact me and let me know you are interested.

I am glad to see you put this up on the blog. Something keeps coming to mind-maybe you could include a job description.

Bobbie Jo - they are currently rewriting the descriptions of the positions....as soon as they are released, I'll post them. Great idea.

I didn't want to go with "St Pats" necessarily - and wanted green to tie in with the water lillies...this will work for a bit of time. LOL

2009/2010 Verse

"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy."

Secret Sister Summer

For the summer, we exchanged cards in order to pray for one another and to anonymously encourage one another.

Please lift your Secret Sister up in prayer daily. Feel free to send her cards, verses, funnies, whatever the Lord moves you to do. But remember... Keep it anonymous!

At the Fall Kick-off we will find out who are Secret Sisters are so we can thank them and follow up on those goals and prayers!

"My purpose in writing is to encourage you and assure you that what you are experiencing is truly part of God's grace for you. Stand firm in this grace." 1 Peter 5v12

Note from Christina on June 9~
Hello Sweet Sisters!

How is your summer going so far? Are you finding sweet notes of hope and love from your Secret Sister? Are you remembering to share hope and love with your Secret Sister? Here we are, already into June. This summer will fly by before we know it, and yet the time will have been mostly separated from our Sisters! Remember to lift her up in your prayers, and as time allows, please try to send her a token of your love in Christ for her!

God bless you, Ladies! Our Lord is moving within our group! See you all, very very soon!
